The new Camaro SS has the LT1 engine straight from the Corvette Stingray. It’s a good engine making 455 horsepower. But why have that, when you can have more? That’s where tuners like Callaway Cars come into play. Callaway just showed off their latest creation, the SC610 Camaro, bringing some forced induction to the Camaro game.Based on their GenThree Supercharger system, the 2.3L Eaton supercharger pushes the power to over 600. Loads of extra cooling ensure that the engine is fine and happy even under the harshest conditions, lap after grueling lap. Plus, you get all sorts of cool carbon fiber bits to set the car off from other Camaros on the road. The Callaway upgrade costs $16,995 if you already own the Camaro, or $52,290 if you want the complete package with the car. Thanks to the arrangement that Callaway Cars has with General Motors, you can order one of these at GM dealerships nationwide. You can also get traditional financing on one, and you even get a 3 year / 36,000 mile warranty to boot!It looks like a pretty sweet setup that gives you the extra grunt you want without going to the extreme. Callaway is always known for the aftermarket stuff. I remember the Callaway Corvette (C4 I think) 200mph car.
