There was a time when the Z/28 version of the fifth-generation Camaro was the most hardcore Z/28 ever…and had an MSRP of about $75,000. One of those things is still true. The 2015 Z/28 in the following “The Smoking Tire” clip remains extreme. It has aggressive aerodynamic upgrades, a naturally aspirated 505-horsepower 7.0-liter V8, a six-speed manual gearbox, racing-derived dampers, and carbon ceramic brakes. The only thing that’s changed is the Z/28 in the clip was bought by its owner for a 20-percent discount when Chevy dealers were trying to make room for sixth-generation Camaros. He may have gotten it for a fraction of its original price, but the Z/28 is still completely badass. That giant LS7 under the hood is eager to rev and bellow out a soul-satisfying roar, the shifts are "crisp," and the chassis is up for what’s demanded of it.Now that the last-gen Z/28s have dropped in price, would you consider buying one or would you rather save your money for a sixth-generation Camaro?Chime in with your thoughts on the forum. >>Follow @derekshiekhiTags: 5th Gen Camaro, camaro, Camaro Z/28, LS7, Video
