I am only the third owner of this truck. The last owner who I bought it from and shipped it to the uk, had taken it in part exchange in 1952 at the dealership he worked at.
The truck starts and runs as it should, is 99% original, has never even had the head off or engine out and never travelled further than 50/60 miles from the dealership which sold it new.
It was given a body refurb in 1980 just as the gentleman retired from work and has only done village parades and car shows since.
It is subject to the usual oil drip here and there but apparently that suggests it just needs new felt oil seals on the main crank which is doable with engine and crank in place.
I have a workshop manual for the truck. I registered it with DVLA and all import paperwork was completed when it arrived 2 years ago. I drive it on the roads regularly, it"s a real head turner. I am thinking I may concoct an artificial still in the rear just as a fun talking point at the shows this year, though I have no doubt it may have seen it"s fair share of real moonshine running in it"s day.
Own a real piece of American history as she quietly approaches 100 years old as just an investment or maybe even to promote your business, will only increase in value.
