The video above comes to us from the Drag Addicts YouTube channel and it features an impressive lineup of high performance vehicles cleaning off their tires before a quarter mile blast. There are a few non-GM vehicles, but for the most part, the likes of the Pontiac Firebird, the Chevrolet Camaro and a Chevy S-10 put on the most impressive display of tire-slaying.No Prep BurnoutsWe don"t have much information on the event in the video above, but the details explain that all of these burnouts were captured at some sort of No Prep race at Kansas International Raceway. If you are not familiar with No Prep racing, it is intended to loosely simulate street racing by skipping on the track preparation. At a normal drag strip on a normal day, the track workers will lay down traction compound, lay down fresh rubber with the tractor and do other things to make the track stickier whereas with No Prep racing they don"t bother to do any of that.As a result, the track surface is slicker than normal, making the burnouts that much more important. On a prepped track, a driver can rely on the surface to assist with launch grip, but in a No Prep race, you have to make sure that your tires are good and hot before attempting a run. This leads to some awesome burnouts, as we see in the video above.Burnout After BurnoutThe video begins with a gorgeous metallic orange 4th generation Pontiac Firebird starting the show off right, with a nice, smoky burnout accompanied by the whistle of forced induction. Next, a 1st generation Chevrolet Camaro and a Nova from the late-60s to early-70s follow up with great smoke shows of their own.Next, a Ford Mustang smokes the tires alongside what looks to be a Chevrolet LUV truck, followed by the orange Firebird from the beginning of the video. After that wicked Pontiac, one of the more unusual vehicles lines up in the form of a twin-turbocharged Chevrolet S-10. After a solid burnout, it seems like we might get to watch the little truck make a pass, but as soon as it stages, the video moves on.The footage ends with a Plymouth Roadrunner, a couple Mustangs and another 1st generation Camaro roasting the rubber as they head to the starting line.
