Chevrolet Changes 2016 Camaro into Bumblebee for Next “Transformers” Movie
Written by Derek Shiekhi
“Bee is back.” Those are the words of director Michael Bay. On June 23, 2017, he’ll also be back – with a fifth Transformers movie called Transformers: The Last Knight. Production kicks off this month. The newest installment in the blockbuster franchise will feature a 2016 Camaro as the friendly Autobot Bumblebee, complete with the character’s signature black and yellow paint job. It wears a bulging, vented hood and a front end that makes the face of the 2017 ZL1 look tame. The Chevy bowtie sits in the middle of the horizontally bisected grille and is flanked by what appear to be air inlets, possibly brake cooling ducts. Those are complemented by a winged front splitter that matches the side skirts. The side mirrors are as impractically small as the rear wing is eye-catching. Custom side air vents and black five-spoke wheels complete the look of the newest version of the modern cinematic legend.Chime in with your thoughts on the forum. >>via [Michael Bay on Facebook]Follow @derekshiekhiTags: 6th Gen Camaro, Bumblee, camaro, gm news, Transformers
