I am selling my step fathers Corvette C3. EXCELLENT EXAMPLE WITH ONLY 21850 MILES AND 3 PREVIOUS OWNERS - this is without doubt the cleanest and probably the best C3 you will find around.<br />

My step father recently passed away after a sudden illness and now his car will have to go. He spent many YEARS and many views finding this car a few years back and it is still as good as when he bought it.<br />

I imagine many of you will recognise this car from the shows and the "corvette scene" and will probably know/remember my stepdad......<br />
<br />
There is NO real wear and tear, the seats and all the leather are in great condition (there is one mark on the inner back of drivers seat - BUT very small) there are NO scuff marks, NO parking digs, NO general scrapes - very unusual to see a car this well looked after. I look after my porsche and range rover but I have to say that this is really exceptional for a 1982 car.<br />

It was imported in 1990 and obviously has all the UK registration forms etc. Have all the original paperwork and everything to go with the car. My stepfather purchased the car, "his baby", in 2002. The previous owner was just as fussy as my stepdad apparently! Nobody has been allowed to sit in this car, without a towel on the seat, if they were wearing jeans - and that is the truth.<br />

Meticulously looked after in every way. You might be able to find "a" stonechip or something like that and maybe you could find the smallest, slightest mark with a microscope somewhere - but this is a very good, clean and genuine car. The pictures are high resolution and they show the condition of the car very well. UPDATE: Since listing the car, I have now gone over her VERY FULLY - there is one small stonechip on the front. One minor touchup where the pinstripe must have been caught on the corner of the front bumper - but very small, just being 100% honest! <br />

It has obviously been garaged for all of its life and there is no bubbling, pealing, lifting at all on the paintwork and the underside of the car is in amazing condition with no rust, rot or corrosion; you might see very, very, very minor surface rust on a bolt heat but there is no corrosion on this vehicle as it has always been garaged and sat on a layer of plastic/carpet/plastic to keep any damp well away.<br />

Chrome is excellent and the T tops, seals, locks and everything are all good. This is a limited edition model; unique colours to this ltd edition version....<br />

IT IS 100% FULLY ORIGINAL. IT WILL EVEN COME WITH THE ORIGINAL TYRES THAT CAME ON THE CAR (they are obviously hard now but they are there to show the originality) <br />

The car will come with a full outdoor cover, nose cone cover (both not used in the last 15 years!) along with the original tyres, MASSIVE file of receipts, paperwork, books and a winning trophy from the UK Corvette club.......<br />

IT HAS NOT BEEN RESPRAYED - ORIGINAL PAINT. The car was knocked (and I mean a very gentle knock - have pics somewhere to dig out) a few years ago on the rear bumper and my step father forced the insurance company to fit a new genuine corvette bumper, which was done by a corvette specialist, so as far as we are aware, this is the only paint work done to car since it came out of the factory. <br />

It has always been regularly serviced and EVERY receipt is in "the folder" (more of a box now!) serviced and maintained - only by corvette specialists......<br />

The car is IMMACULATE and pretty much in SHOWROOM condition. It wants NOTHING doing to it in any way that we are aware. Anything that would have wanted doing would have been done - full stop!<br />

As you can see, the car is currently stored and I just removed the covers to take some of the pictures shown.<br />

You are welcome to come and view the car at my mums house in Cheshunt EN8 (will be moved to St Albans, Herts, AL2 soon) and I guarantee that if the car is not as described or you are not happy in any way, then I will pay for your petrol - the car is that good and genuine.<br />

This is NOT the usual rubbish you see on ebay and please do not compare this car to other cheap cars out there - they are cheap for a reason..... and it is the old cliche - the first to see it will want to buy it for sure.<br />

It is taxed and the MOT is due 3rd August 2017 - it will go straight through as the car has probably done less than 200 miles since last year.<br />

Comes with all the originals manuals, books, service history and receipts, both sets of keys and a massive folder of bills, information, books etc. and I do mean massive amount of paperwork......<br />

I think I should have answered most questions you may of had but do contact me if any questions. This is a specialist car and my knowledge of C3"s is probably not as good as yours - if you are seriously looking at this advert then you will know the C3 inside out I would imagine........The only other thing I can remember is that this car has "the better gearbox, the other one was unreliable, unlike this one" my stepfather said; I will try and find out more information about this....but this might help a potential new owner to understand what this means.... <br />

Please do not even think about any silly offers. No urgency to sell the vehicle. Yes you will see C3"s out there for 8-10000 but this isn t one of them - not in this condition and mileage and with 3 previous owners. My stepdad would want this car to go to someone that will really appreciate it.<br />

I have listed this at 22,500 (NOW REVISED TO 19995 with no offers in order to get it sold and all the watchers and offers now know this is the lowest price ) and am told that this is a very realistic price for the car. Yes, it is open to offers but to save your time and mine, it will not be sold for silly money. Some tell me it is worth 17500 (without seeing it and not seeing the immaculate condition) and I know that a very reputable corvette specialist that know the car well, said that it would be on their forecourt at 30k+.<br />
There is a valuation and engineers report from Dart Corvette from a couple of years ago, that values the vehicle at 27,000 as a realistic selling price. I will listen to what people say and offer and will get the best price that I can for my mum. If not sold, I will enjoy the use this year and relist next year - this car won t be going down in value that s for sure!<br />

IN ORDER TO ANSWER SOME OF THE MANY QUESTIONS:<br />
YES, the underside is rust and rot free. <br />
NO, there is no blistering of the fibreglass or paintwork<br />
NO, the vehicle has never been repaired or damaged in any way that we are aware of (apart from rear bumper as mentioned above)<br />
Every year the car went in for a service along with the MOT (oils, filters etc) and every other year, every single necessary point/part has been greased/lubricated as required.<br />
Last serviced Aug 16 - about 200 miles ago. The oil obviously looks like it is new.<br />
The A.I.R. pump belt was removed (smog pump) and a modification done by a Corvette specialist as recommended by them. (there is info in the paperwork somewhere about this but apparently this should be done on these engines) <br />
There is a leak of fluid under the car - cannot see where it is coming from but in the last 15 years, I would guess it has lost about 1/2 a pint. A specialist looked at it about 10 years ago and said it is best to leave as might cause other issues if you try to sort it. Every year my stepdad was told the same thing, "all ok and don"t think about it!" so it was left. I checked all fluids on 06/05/17 and all levels are at the marker "full" level, so no top up needed since fluids changed in Aug 16.<br />
