With its naturally aspirated LT1 V8, Michelin rubber, and track-developed aerodynamics, the 2017 Corvette Grand Sport has certain physical similarities to the Corvette C7.R GTE Pro race car.Its Grand Sport badging gives it a spiritual connection to the racing-inspired Corvettes of yesteryear. From the original five that were intended for an official Chevrolet team presence at the 1963 Le Mans race to the hash-marked, 330-horsepower 1996 throwbacks to the originals to the 2010 versions of the Grand Sport which became the most popular models in the Corvette’s sixth generation.The 2017 Grand Sport has more power than ever and a newly available Z07 package that makes it capable of pulling off 1.2g in turns.
