1950 Chevy 3100 5 window short wheelbase pick up. Obviously its been a working truck its whole life, and has the usual odd small ding and scratch to prove it, but its duties were clearly pretty light, and its in truly amazing condition for its age. <br />

It has the best patina I"ve ever seen, what paint the sun hasn"t baked off appears original, with only a light dusting of surface rust where it has worn through. The only sign of rot is in the rear corners of the cab where grime gathers.This would be a simple repair if you wanted to.<br />

The bed has been removed and 67 years of dirt and grime removed from the chassis and running gear and it has then been waxoyled.Mechanically it"s fine and the radiator,fuel pump ,water pump and hoses have been renewed.All original parts have been retained. The truck starts, runs, steers, and stops, just like you"d expect a 1950 truck to. The brakes have been serviced with a new master cylinder and hoses where required. The engine runs well and the clutch and gearbox work just as they should too. The electrics are still the original six volt.<br />

The interior is original although the side windows and near-side windscreen have been renewed as they were cracked.It has the original door cards, handles etc. and what"s left of the headlining The gauges and radio are original though they don"t all work. In addition the seat has been re-upholstered.The wood in the bed has been replaced. <br />

All in all I"m pretty confident in saying this is one of the best, most original, 3100s in the country. I spent a lot of time looking for a 3100 and this was,by far, the best I saw.It is UK registered ,tax and MOT free, and ready to roll.<br />

I have spent a lot of time and money on my ideal truck but,unfortunately, circumstances have changed and I will soon have nowhere to keep it<br />
