Here I have my beloved1976 Chrysler New Yorker Brougham 4 door pillarless town car, lowrider hydraulics show car<br />

Big block MOPAR fully rebuilt including new crank, con rods, pistons etc, over bored block now running around 6.8 litre, sounds awesome, straight through full Stainless steel exhaust system with twin exit pipes.<br />

This is one huge, epic car. Massive road presence at 20 feet in length (longer than a sprinter van!) and 6.6 wide, when slammed looks even bigger!<br />

A lot of work has gone into this car; no rot, vinyl roof was removed and rotten steel work beneath replaced across rear window and boot floors, all good now, repainted in original cream / mustard colour and a full brown metal flake roof detail, custom pin striping by Too-Tall Paul. All chrome on bumpers etc is good too for a 41 year old car.<br />

This is possibly the only New Yorker of this year to have been juiced. I"ve not found any more online and I ve searched a lot, probably due to the complex torsion bar set up on the front. This has now been removed and hydraulic rams lift and drop the car in place of the shock absorbers. The rear was a project in itself too; the original leaf springs etc have been removed and replaced with a custom 4 bar link set up and strengthened axle, all corners ride on accumulators so rides like it did originally. The system is powered by 6x heavy duty batteries running at 36V, 2x CCE hydraulic pumps and is hard-lined throughout for reliability, there is a 10 switch control box for the juice.<br />

The interior has had the pimped out treatment with tiger skin fur and diamantes including the headlining, along with the obligatory tassels and now LED colour changing lights around the roof (looks sweet). Can all easily be removed if not to your liking?<br />

The hydraulics were designed to be easily removable too should you wish to return it back to standard, although the ride is better than it was originally. Or the system could be simplified down and set to a comfortable height and disengaged? The flexibility of having adjustment far outweighs the need to completely remove them though<br />

The seats are the original leather and been treated to some love recently with a full deep clean and leather treatment. Look and smell lush now. Just fitted brand new imported fitted carpets throughout due to water ingress - this has been dealt with now (41 year factory sealing had eroded over time ruining the interior floor)<br />

Overhauled all the electric windows and all work without issue, plus it s had a brand new driver s door glass (as I smashed the original one when fixing the windows!!)<br />

In all this is an amazing lowrider and gets attention and photographed everywhere I take it. If you re a shrinking violet this probably isn t the car for you but if you enjoy being the centre of attention then here you are . Get cruising!!<br />

There are as with all cars of this type of age a few little jobs which need doing, just haven"t had the time but are on my list of things to do; heater switch needs mounting into dash somewhere (disconnected from air con system due to complexity of system - can be reinstated if necessary) exhaust needs re-aligning due to bashing mid box off manhole cover, starter motor solenoid very very occasionally sticks on (not an issue), power steering has leaky hose, just needs taking off and new hose making up - all very simple tasks but just not had the time as yet.<br />
