Got the new magazine though the post today, and they have a multiple page article on a Steeda Mustang, a UK ford shop altering the UK mustang. They talk about the Right Hand Drive Mustang. If they feature this in the magazine then why don't they feature a PT cruiser? (perhaps they have, not seen it yet though)
I know there will always be friction to do with the UK mustang, not being Classic or American. Apparently there are things like the rear light fittings are not interchangable, so it is a different build between the models.
Also people are calling them Mondeo's with a body kit.

What your thoughts on the UK mustang?

Mustangs were originally designed as Pony cars and later they had some muscle too. Then Ford demonstrated the ultimate in stupidity and bought out the Mustang II with a 4 cylinder engine. It was a POS and the public hated them. A few special models aside like the Cobra II it was a poorly received model.
A Mustang has always had some power and some character too. A 4 cylinder Mustang today, even if it's more powerful than earlier 6 cylinder models is not what a Mustang is about. Where is the sound? the charisma? And with future plans for a hybrid it appears Ford has forgotten what the Mustang was originally conceived to be.
It has simply become a way of selling more models, American cars were never about economy or even common sense.
Remember the first muscle car, the Pontiac GTO, was a small(er) body fitted with the big engine from a bigger model.
It's a formula that worked for Mopar for years too.

Mondeo in a bodykit? If it's fitted with a 4 cylinder or a hybrid? - yes

for me an American car must have a v8, automatic gearbox, very light power stearing and left hand drive
