Hotly anticipated after the reveal of the rather excellent Urban EV concept back in September, the Honda Sports EV is a fully electric, two-seater sportscar with vintage styling and much coolness. There"s no real news about the power or performance, but Honda says it"s more about "a feeling of joy and emotional unity to the drive." We like it very much indeed. Mostly because it could well be the spiritual successor to the rev-hunry S2000 roadster. A TG fave. The S2000 was built from 1999 to 2009, racking up sales of over 100,000 cars. The engine was a 2.0-litre four-cylinder with 237bhp, and it was a little beauty. It revved expertly, screaming right up to the 9,000rpm red line, and changed gear perfectly. We mean perfectly. Selling it to you? If the scary EV future of motoring doesn"t quite butter your parsnip and you"re interested in some relatively old-fashioned metal, here"s a beautiful little orange number we found for sale at a bargain 13k. The future"s bright, the future"s well. You get it.
