Petrolhead

Hi all, joined up a couple of days ago so thought I'd better introduce myself, my name is Gary and I own a Holden SS Ute, really hoping that's the sort of car that is welcome on here, have been a petrolhead all my life with my first word being "Ford" much to my Mum's discust lol,(Dad's fault!):thumb:
I'm lucky enough to have a girlfriend full stop lol but to have one that is also nuts on cars is a bonus! She drives a Clk55 so we are a V8 family! We also own a Subaru Legacy GTB wagon for general duties (dogs, tip, snow).
Have had a trying to find the car for me in the last 18 months costing me a fortune, which I don't have lol, used to own a Monaro 6.0 VXR but had to sell as lost my job, when I could afford to I began the car search again and went through a few before I realized that I just wanted the thunder from down under back in my life!
Anyway I'm looking forward to meet everyone on here:wave:

Welcome to the mad house, :welcome:

Hi Petrolhead, welcome to the club. Nice looking ride there. I agree the thunder of the V8 is a sound you cant be without. Looking forward to seeing the Holden, I've not seen it around.

Have been on a few pistonheads meets but it doesn't really fit in and they are a tad clicky lol, will try to make a meet but can't do evenings as I work late

Not to worry about not being able to make club meetings in the evening, I'm sure we will catch up at shows. About every month there is a list of upcoming events that get emailed out (by default you are on the list until you unsubscribe). Join in on as many shows as you like, no pressure to attend. Some are pre entry only, so need an idea of numbers before attending, but thats all.
I guess your engine in the Holden is LS2? great to have another LS engine in the club. :)

It's an ls1 in the ute, had the ls2 in my Monaro, ute a fair bit lighter though lol!

 Welcome to the forum! I do have a soft spot for those Utes and Monaros :D

Was the Ute at Beaulieu?

Was the Ute at Beaulieu?

Yes, went there to just park and go in and marshalled waved me into the grounds lol, made my day!

If I'd have thought I would get to go on display I would have washed it lol, the Marshall told me it was a nice American ford, just agreed to get in!

I think that's all the LSx's, others are either old, V6 or Ford.
