Above is a 2014 Chevrolet COPO Camaro doing a quick yet extremely smoky burnout on the street. We can see from the stripes on the hood that this particular COPO Camaro is powered by the supercharged 350 cubic inch V8. Said engine doesn"t get an official horsepower rating, since actual output varies based on tuning efforts. However, we know that it packs enough power to get this late model muscle car down the quarter mile well into the 8-second range. The video begins as the wicked COPO Camaro eases out onto the street with a healthy grumble coming from under the car. The driver gets situated on the street, waiting for a few vehicles to pass as he flips switches in the car. Once the coast is clear, the blown 350 roars and the rear tires quickly begin to smoke hard. After a few seconds of sitting in place, the driver lets the COPO Camaro roll forward and the real smoke show begins. For what appears to be at least a couple hundred feet, the track ready Camaro roasts the big, sticky slick tires without breaking a sweat. Even as the burnout tapers off, we can hear the 2014 COPO Chevy working to get traction. In the end, it isn"t a particularly long burnout. However, this quick clip shows just how easily the modern COPO Camaro can spin the race slicks on a smooth, dry road.Best of all, in addition to this impressive rolling burnout, the supercharged 350 cubic inch Chevy V8 under the hood sounds absolutely incredible. So, this is one video that you will most certainly want to enjoy with your volume turned way up.Tags: 5th Gen Camaro, Burnout Fridays, camaro, Copo
