For sale I have my beloved Corvette C5 that I have absolutely adored for almost 3 years. From the outset, I want to be clear that this car was used daily and whilst it sat in the garage when not in use, it was used frequently and is not mint. That said, I have cared for it so while there are blemishes, it is an example that still turns heads and can be owned with pride.
New Radiator half way down last year

Work in the recent months included a new windscreen wiper motor to fix the common park issue, repaired and up-rated seat mount, a new aux belt tensioner and a service just before christmas.

As mentioned, i have used this car every day so there are stone chips and the like throughout, with a couple of minor dings to the wheels, however, I would suggest that id passes the 1 meter test without issue and scrubs up beautifully.

Beyond this, there are a few issues;
- The clocks wwere changed during my ownership due to the dash instrument controls failing. The originals read 112114, the replacements read 35730 and now read just over 40,000.
- There are leaks is heavy rain, despite the replacement of seals around the windscreen an targa panel. The previous owner applies some silocon sealant which keeps some of the water out but it"s not pretty and in driving rain, it will still leak. This is a well known issue and apparently, they leaked from the factory.
- the Tyre pressure monitoring system is down due to the batteries in the sensors dying. You can fix this but I felt it was more hassle than it was worth.
- the drivers seal bolster is a bit saggy
- gear shifter gaiter is a bit worn
- There is a mark on the underside of the passenger sideskirt. It could be repaired but it"s not bothered me thus far however if it"s a deal breaker, I can get it fixed.

Just for a bit of fun, here are a few commonly answered questions;

Frequent questions;
Q; What"s it like driving a LHD?
A; the same as driving a RHD car, except you have to lean a bit to see round things. Seriously, you"re only 4 feet to the left. It"s not that bad

Q;What MPG does it do?
A; Pottering round, it"ll do 20-22, on a run, it"s possible to get over 30 if you"re boring. Important note; the onboard computer reads in US Gallons not UK gallons.

Q; How much is it to insure?
A; Surprisingly cheap! If you need help, I"m happy to make a few suggestions.

Q; How reliable is it?
A; It"s amazing. nearly 3 years of ownership, very few parts have failed. The only time i"ve broken down is when my aux belt snapped. In contrast, I"ve owned a SEAT Cupra for 3 months and it"s already cost me 400 quid.

Q; Are parts expensive?
A; It"s made by GM so most engine parts are interchangeable with Holden/Pontiac/VXRs. Servicing is a pittance, too - the oil filter is 5, the oil, all 8l of Shell Helix 5w-30 DEXOS II, costs 35 total from Euro car parts. And even if it"s Corvette specific, they"re fairly easy to get BUT there is a delay getting them from the USA.

Q; will i fit?
A; I"m probably taller than you so... yes.
