This was a genuine barn find that has been re-commissioned ready for the road. Unfortunately it has a mechanical problem with the engine and whilst it starts and ideals it stalls under load. This problem points to the engine requiring a new cam which I am told can be easily fitted however the engine is not the original unit and I was going to have a create engine fitted in case the problem turned out to be something else.
The car is cream with a red interior and white soft top all of which are in good condition. No rips or tears in the top or interior. Chrome is bright but some parts could do with re-plating in the future. Tyres are new with good original hubcaps. The car does NOT have an MOT as it cannot be driven due to the engine problem.
The only reason I am selling this car is because another car has been unexpectedly offered to me and I need the space.
I would have preferred to install the crate motor and sell it in the spring for a higher price when the market is stronger for this type of car.
I am not a stranger to this model of corvette having owned solid axle cars for over 30 years.
The price of this car as it stands is 38.500 which makes it the cheapest C1 that I can find on the market.
