Those among you of a British disposition might have heard of a posh supermarket on these shores much-mocked for its essentials" range, containing such vital household groceries as vermicelli nests, pork tongues, and the must-have poppy and sesame seed biscuits. Now we have an essentials" range for a supercar. Not from Waitrose, but a carbon bodywork outfit called Vitesse AuDessus. It"s just revealed the Essentials Package" for the Lamborghini Aventador SV, answering the complaints of literally nobody who wailed their 740bhp V12 supercar looked too plasticky. For around 25,000, Vitesse AuDessus supplies the essential carbon side skirts, mirrors, front splitter and intakes, plus the rear diffuser. Spec the Extended Package and a carbon bonnet is thrown in, with a choice of high-gloss or matt finishes. Not enough carbon for you? Vitesse AuDessus also offers a set of carbon wheels, claimed to shave a handy 25kg off the SV"s upsprung mass. Apparently the lighter wheels improve acceleration, handling and fuel economy the latter obviously at the forefront of an SV-owning mindset. The carbon centrelock wheels alone will set you back around 17,000 spec those with the Extended Package of upgrades and you"re staring down a 30k bill.Happily, you"re also allowed to cherry-pick individual items, so for the cash-strapped among Lambo owners the cheapest option is just having the side skirts. A bargain, at a mere 1,700.
