Despite the State trying it’s best to put the squeeze on car enthusiasts, California is the West Coast motoring mecca. We are blessed with good weather, great driving roads and a lot of performance parts manufacturers and speed shops. It makes sense that within the massive population density of Los Angeles that there would be a lot of interesting rides. However, that does not explain why this third generation Chevrolet Camaro is pictured with a special friend. The LS1tech.com Craigslist Find of the Week is This 1989 Camaro IROC-Z, Which Seems to Be Equal Parts Car and Chicken Coop:Why is this the opening image for this ad? Actually, I’m more curious why this is the opening image for the ad, but there is no reference to the fact that a chicken has claimed this third gen as it’s stomping grounds. You can’t lead with something like that and then proceed to completely ignore it’s existence. It has a leash on it, it’s not as if a random chicken just appeared alongside the car. Questions abound. The rest of the ad is standard fair. This ’89 IROC-Z features the bigger 350 cube small block V8, mated to the 4-speed 700R4 automatic transmission. Our seller states that basic maintenance to the engine was done before he found a blown head gasket. If you think the pet chicken is the only wild thing about this ad, you would be wrong. This third-gen Camaro, with a blown head gasket is yours now…for $7500. Unless third gens have become massively desirable over night, I was under the impression that these things traded hands for about $2000. #gallery-2 { margin: auto; } #gallery-2 .gallery-item { float: left; margin-top: 10px; text-align: center; width: 50%; } #gallery-2 img { border: 2px solid #cfcfcf; } #gallery-2 .gallery-caption { margin-left: 0; } /* see gallery_shortcode() in wp-includes/media.php */
