Yup - we actually plan to visit either this year or next.
I can't explain why but I have a fascination with the place that I just have to visit.
Its not as dangerous as it sounds either. As long as you don't go swimming in the cooling pond, stay out of the buildings and undergrowth and and stay on the main thoroughfares the radiation levels you are exposed too are low. In fact we would absorb more on the flight over!!
Now, visiting reactor #4 is different altogether, and getting line of sight of the elephants foot (a mutated mass of material left after the explosion) would kill you in 10mins!! - not to be messed with.
Really looking forward to going - a short break with a difference.
Realise it's not for everyone, but it just interests me. We'll get some interesting pictures for sure. I've never wanted a drone but I reckon it could get some really cool perspectives.
