Looks like it has been through the wars but under its ratty exterior this rare UK registered classic station wagon has been fully rebuilt from the ground up. Body off and chassis blasted and re coated. Floors fully replaced by "Hot Rods Hull" all other panels in excellent condition, all finished in matt grey and black with great patina.<br />
Coffee sack interior with Blankets.<br />
Brand new disc brakes front and rear + new bearings all round.<br />
New brake pipes and Master cylinder<br />
New stainless exhaust system.<br />
Fully serviced three on the tree manual three speed gearbox.<br />
New clutch and bearings.<br />
Bespoke aluminium fuel tank, sender, pump and lines.<br />
Fully rewired with 12 volt system.<br />
Retro 15 inch alloys with good tyres + plus full new set of Continentals included.<br />
New track rod ends.<br />
Dodge Poly 270ci small block V8 engine Fully rebuilt by "Park Engineering" of Malton North Yorkshire with new pistons, Shells, Cam shaft, oil pump etc etc ( This engine is very desirable in Hot Rodding circles).<br />
Brand new Old stock original spec Stromberg 2bbl Carb fitted. Distributor fully serviced with new parts.<br />
Engine run up for 2 hours only and has had first oil change.<br />
New radiator and hoses.<br />
New alternator, good battery and spare one year old Bosch battery included.<br />
The car was imported from the USA as a non runner in 2003 for a declared import value of 7450, any experienced car guy will know the value of the work listed above, so if you like the Ratty Surf Look this car is for you!.<br />
I have really enjoyed this project but due to worsening back problems it needs taking and using by someone who is into something different from the usual polished stuff .<br />
