Electric cars may be zero emisions but I expect making and disposing of the batteries isn't gonna be zero emmisions.

No, a muscle car by its very definition was a small(er) body fitted with the big engine out of one its larger sisters.
The GTO, the grandfather of muscle cars, was originally a Tempest fitted with the 455 out of the Bonneville (iirc).
The spirit of hot Rodding, take the engine out of something bigger that by its nature was more powerful and shoehorn it into something smaller/lighter. Chrysler quickly followed their lead with the 300!
I suppose you could take the motor from a Tesla and drop it into a Sinclair C5, now that would be a muscle car in as much as a C5 is a car!
For me, electricity and cars = milk floats, golf carts and dodgems at the fun fair.
Long live the gas guzzling monster HP V8, screw everything else.
