A new Chevrolet Corvette Z06 is very capable of beating a Lamborghini Huracan in a heads-up drag race. Especially when the driver of the Italian supercar sleeps at the line and misses a shift. This week"s Drag Race Monday video features a drag race between a C7 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 and a Lamborghini Huracan LP610-4. In standard form, the C7 Corvette Z06 offers 650 horsepower from the supercharged LT4. The Lamborghini Huracan LP610-4 relies on a naturally aspirated 5.2L V10 to offer 602 horsepower. This particular Corvette Z06 is clearly fitted with the 7-speed manual transmission while the Lambo features the standard 7-speed dual clutch automatic. The Italian exotic also has the advantage of all-wheel drive. Now, we don"t know whether this Corvette or Lamborghini have been modified and it certainly looks as though the Z06 could have some aftermarket goodies. It obviously has an elaborate vinyl wrap and it sounds like it could be a bit louder than stock, but that really doesn"t matter, because the Lamborghini driver is nothing short of terrible.Even though the Corvette driver has to skillfully launch with the clutch pedal resulting in a touch of wheel spin on the launch the Lamborghini driver is unable to leave the line with the Z06. The driver of the Huracan almost appears to launch early, but he ends up leaving much, much later than the Corvette. By the time the V10 Lambo gets moving, the Corvette is already out to a strong lead. When the driver of the Italian supercar bounces off of the rev limiter at the top of 1st gear, the race is truly over. The Corvette cruises to an easy win as the driver of the Lamborghini continues to work to figure out the intricacies of the modern automatic transmission.Crank up your speakers and enjoy!
