This drag race video features a wicked 1st generation Chevrolet Camaro Pro Mod race car making a quick run down an 8th mile drag strip.Unfortunately, there are no details on this classic Camaro drag car. However, it sounds like this 1st gen Chevy muscle car has a similar engine to the modern NHRA pro stock cars. There is no sign of turbo or supercharged noise before or during the run, suggesting that it is like naturally aspirated, but there is no question that this is one wicked Camaro.The video begins with the 1st gen Pro Mod Camaro lining up in the burnout box before doing a strong, smokey burnout. The V8 engine screams as the driver works to get the back tires to smoke in the box for a few seconds, followed by letting the car rocket towards the finish line as the burnout ends.After the video jumps ahead to staging, we watch the pro mod Camaro ease to the line and when the green light drops the monster muscle car rips away from the starting line. Traction appears to be good at the line, allowing the driver to stay into the throttle for the during of the 8th mile run and in the end, this badass blue Camaro pro mod car lays down a time of 4.78 seconds at 130.1 miles per hour.That means that this pro mod Camaro can do 0-130 in 4.78 seconds and sounds incredible doing it. Rough math says this car could run 7 second quarter-miles if it was geared right.
