DS has revealed that no new car it releases after 2025 will be powered solely by internal combustion. It will do hybrids we don"t yet know whether these will be mild-hybrids" like the Audi A8, PHEVs, full-on hybrids like the Prius or a mixture of all three and EVs, but not a thing without some form of battery. The brand"s first hybrid a PHEV version of the DS 7 crossover with 300bhp, 30 miles of EV range and all-wheel drive is set to be revealed next year, and we"re told its first (and indeed probably PSA"s first) all-electric car will be revealed at the Paris Motor Show in October. Just so long as it looks more like the E-Tense Concept pictured than the DS X E-Tense Concept it showed us last week. Last July Volvo promised that by 2019 every single one of its models would have some form of electrification. DS is promising the same but not within quite as tight a timeframe as the Swedes, who only have a matter of months left to meet their target.
