This week"s Dyno Blast video features a 2016 Cadillac CTS-V on a dyno as part of the build process for Weapon X Motorsports. This Caddy is being tested with the factory 8-speed automatic transmission and it is 100% factory stock. We actually see two dyno runs by the 2016 Cadillac CTS-V, with the first being a proper power pull and the second is a simulated quarter mile drag strip pass. On the first run, the 2016 CTS-V packing the supercharged 6.2L LT4 lays down 570 horsepower and 564 lb-ft of torque at the rear wheels and it sounds pretty sweet in the process. After this run, we get a look at the dyno readout on the screen, showing the numbers and the power curves. On the second run, the driver makes a simulated quarter mile run in the 2016 Cadillac CTS-V. While the car technically covers a quarter mile worth of distance on the rollers, this car isn"t dealing with wind resistance or real world traction issues, but even for a simulated run this Cadillac is pretty impressive. On this run, the new CTS-V lays down a dyno quarter mile time of 11.09 at 126 miles per hour.Crank up your speakers and enjoy!Tags: Cadillac, cta-v, Dyno Blast, Dyno wednesday, LT4
