Today’s Dyno Blast video features the gorgeous custom 1969 Chevrolet Camaro from the crew at Speed Society. If you are into extremely high performance GM muscle cars, the odds are good that you are familiar with this subtle looking 1969 Camaro. What’s the story with this Camaro? If you are not familiar with the Speed Society "69 Camaro, you might not think too much of it at first glance. While it has a unique hood, some unique body bits and a lowered stance around big, fat tires, this 1st gen Camaro doesn"t look like a high performance monster. However, as soon as the hood opens, any onlooker should immediately recognize that this is not your average 1st gen Camaro show car.Under the hood of this 1969 Camaro is a 408 cubic inch LSX crate engine fitted with a pair of 66 millimeter turbochargers. When coupled with the unique aerodynamic appointments and the high performance suspension package, this classic Camaro is capable of laying down incredible numbers on the drag strip and on high speed runs. However, in this video we get to see just how much power this twin-turbo ’69 Camaro offers. The video shows the dyno run from three different camera angles two showing the Speed Society Camaro and the third showing the dyno screen during the run. We can see that the boosted 408 cubic inch LSX V8 climbs up over 7,000rpm during the run and as the run ends, the video jumps to a close-up of the dyno screen showing an incredible 1,247 rear wheel horsepower and 1,279lb-ft of rear wheel torque before a weather correction. With weather correction, this twin turbo Camaro is making over 1,273 rear wheel horsepower and over 1,300lb-ft of torque at the rear wheels.Crank up your speakers and enjoy!
