The first 2017 Chevrolet Corvette with the 800hp Yenko package from Specialty Vehicle Engineering hits the dyno before heading off to its new owner. This week"s Dyno Blast Wednesday video features a 2017 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray fitted with the 800hp Yenko package from Specialty Vehicle Engineering. We brought you information on this wicked Corvette package earlier this year when it was first introduced, but as a quick refresher here are the vital stats on this badass Stingray. While the aftermarket body package gives this C7 Chevy Corvette a very Z06-esque look, this is a Stingray and it is still technically powered by the standard LT1 engine. The key difference is that this LT1 has been bored and stroked to 6.8 liters (416 cubic inches), with a spread of high strength parts in the rotating assembly and a set of custom cylinder heads. There is also a 2.9L supercharger, which mounted to the 6.8L LT1 is promised to deliver some 800 horsepower while the custom exhaust system allows this blown Corvette to roar like a proper supercar. In this video, we get a quick walk around of the 2017 Corvette Yenko Edition from SVE followed by a good, hard pull on the rollers. During this run, we get to hear the 416 cubic inch C7 LT1 clear its throat as the driver pushes it to the peak of the powerband, followed by the rumble as the Yenko Corvette gets stopped after the dyno blast. As you might imagine, the Yenko Corvette sounds pretty sweet whether it is going up through the gears, running at wide open throttle or coming back down through the gears.Unfortunately, we don"t get to see a dyno readout so we don"t know what this Corvette makes at the wheels, but this is, without a doubt, the best sample of the SVE-built Yenko LT1 in action, so crank up your speakers and enjoy!
