A new Nissan NV300 Combi has been revealed. It introduces a new look to Nissan's medium-sized van, as well as improved interior quality and more efficient diesel engines under the bonnet.
The NV300 is still based on the Renault Trafic, so this is still one of the most spacious van-based people carriers that you can buy, and the bodywork is the same as before. But Nissan has added a new corporate grille with a more angular look, and the headlights have been redesigned with new LED daytime running lights to help the NV300 stand out. New alloy wheels have also been introduced on higher spec models.
Inside, the NV300 Combi's 9-seat cabin is available with additional under-seat storage on some models, but all versions get a deep storage compartment below the twin front passenger seat that offers 54 litres of space.
The dashboard has been redesigned to offer car-like quality and appearance, with chrome buttons and a dark carbon finish adding a touch more style. Top-spec models can be had with an 8-inch NissanConnect infotainment touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, while safety kit is boosted with blind spot and lane departure warning, plus traffic sign recognition and improved front airbags.
As with the Renault Trafic, the NV300's engine range is now based around a 2.0-litre dCi diesel that offers improved torque and Euro 6D emissions compliance. It's available in 110, 150 and 170 guises, with the first two engines coming with a six-speed manual gearbox, and the latter fitted with a DCT auto a standard (it's an option with the 150 engine). All versions are front-wheel drive, while switchable traction control is offered to improve grip in slippery conditions.
The new NV300 is built on the same production line in France alongside the Trafic, while Nissan's five-year/100,000-mile warranty still comes as standard across all models.
