Farmhouse Pay and Display car park

The Farmhouse (our clubhouse) now has this parking charges sign up. It's a shame they are having to charge, perhaps it's due to so many others, like golfers using the car park.

My first question is will it affect our show Season Closer day on the 18th Oct. I have emailed the Farmhouse, but the manager is on holiday, and the person below the manager emailed back. They responded with

"Im not too sure on a lot of the regulations for the new parking system however I would have thought that this wouldn't include the car show day as this is effectively closed off for a private function so to speak however I would have to let the Emma give you the information on this just to be certain."

So our show day should be fine. I wonder what will happen on club nights, will club members be exempt? or do you get your money back is you but something in the Farmhouse like some shops do. We will see. The manager is back on Tuesday, so things should become clearer from then. Perhaps our club night starts from 8pm?.... there are a few options.

This could effect the every day trade for the pub ?

who's idea was it the pub's or council or land lord of the ground(land)?

It is a shame. I would home they would at least offer to refund parking for genuine customers who are using the bar/restaurant?

How are they enforcing it do they have camera's on the entrance?

Just had a word with the manager this evening with Malcolm,Fran and Sarah. Car park fees is nothing to worry about. It may not come in force, if it does club members get free permits when you go to the bar in a club t-shirt. The manager is quite certain it won't come into force anyway.

We all had a meal down here too, good food, new menu, came out quick, the new chef has found his feet. A good evening.

If it's a parking eye system manager will have no control unless supplied with box inside like Tesco sites have for contractor's and site visitor's where you key in your registration , and what about all the car's bike's that turn up that are not part of SR how will they get the permits?? and if parking attendant attemps to give ticket will he get linched?????????????????????????

Show day is no issue at all as it's a private event. So any show vehicles welcome and no charges apply.

When it comes to club nights, that will be when we get a pass from the bar, although the manager doesn't see the meters ever coming into force, so it a win win for us. They were popped in as a dispute with the golf club.
