Initial TV footage only showed Gutierrez"s car skidding off into the gravel, but the scale of the crash emerged once we saw what was left of Alonso"s McLaren.The Spaniard managed to climb out of the cockpit and limp away quickly - apparently so that his mum watching on TV wouldn"t be worried" (aww) - and was later given the all clear by doctors. Thankfully."Now it"s time to rest and think about Bahrain, and get back in the car to get the first points of this year," he added. Chin up, Alonso. And thank heavens for the great strides F1 safety continues to take.
