Turbo Firebird proves that you don’t need much to hook and get down the street in a hurry.In the world of street racing, there’s no shortage of smack talk. Even if you aren’t the best, you’ve got to talk the best game. But only a few special cars and drivers can actually walk the talk, of course. In every race, there’s a winner and a loser. And more often than not, it looks like this badass, heavily turbocharged Firebird Trans Am comes out on top.There is a lot to like here besides that fact, however. This isn’t your average, run of the mill, slush box-equipped junkyard Firebird build. In addition to the requisite turbo, this is actually a manual car. And the driver bangs through the gears of that T56 like a man possessed, too. Reportedly, the bottom end is mostly stock, to boot.It’s all about driving skill and a solid suspension setup, apparently. Which is obvious because this Firebird leaves incredibly hard. It also annihilates everything it lines up against in this crazy hype video. Throw in a killer C.T. Fletcher voiceover, and you’ve got us ready to rip our shirts off and do a little chest beating. Alright, maybe not. But we are pretty excited, regardless.Sure, anybody can piece together a few victory clips and claim street dominance. But even though we’re sure it’s lost at least one race in its life, this Firebird is still a pretty incredible piece of machinery. With a handful of goodies and a skilled hot shoe behind the controls, it also leaps down the road like a man possessed.
