This week"s flashback commercial takes us back to 1969, where Paul Revere and the Raiders introduced us to the new Pontiac GTO "The Judge" package. The Judge was a bargain performance package designed to compete with the Plymouth Road Runner, adding the Ram Air III engine, Rally II wheels without trim rings, Hurst shifter with a unique T-shaped handle, wider tires, a large rear spoiler and unique decals all of which are mentioned in this commercial.To show off all of the unique features of the GTO Judge, Pontiac tapped popular 60s rock group Paul Revere and the Raiders to make a jingle and oddly, it is surprisingly cheesy for such a muscular performance car.
