This is a truly beautiful car, having undergone a complete nut and bolt extensive restoration about 10 years ago, which included some very sensible upgrades. It still presents beautifully today and is a very stylish example of Art Deco Americana. The car had been purchased directly from a collector in America who had owned the car for many years, but old age forced him to sell his collection. This car has to be seen to be fully appreciated. The original Ford 221 Flat Head engine was fully rebuilt and upgraded with Offenhauser alloy cylinder Heads and twin inlet alloy manifold, Isky Camshafts, Twin Holly Carbs, Mallory electronic Ignition amounting to a cost of over $10,000. alone. It now produces 120bhp and purrs along, easily keeping up with modern traffic. The gearbox was also rebuilt and suspension plus shock absorbers upgraded. Brakes uprated to hydraulic and electrics changed to 12V . There is of course comprehensive paperwork and photographic evidence of the restoration, including other history that comes with all of the documentation. The car looks absolutely splendid in its original black colour. Subtle modifications include a louvered bonnet, and a very slight lowering of the suspension to give it the perfect stance thus adding to its beauty. Interior is in wonderful order throughout, and all the gauges work correctly.
I am offering this absolutely beautiful car for sale for no other reason than it just takes up too much space in my single garage.
