I fancy a change, there"s nothing needs doing to the car. It"s a 63 2 door fastback, 390 ci (6.4 litre) and has a cruisomatic gearbox. I am the only registered UK keeper, the car having come in from the States about 18 months ago.<br />
In order to ensure reliability I"ve given the car a proper check through from <br />
front to back and replaced or rebuilt anything I wasn"t happy with. The following will give you an idea of how good this car now is:-<br />
Engine removed, stripped, cleaned and rebuilt with new big ends, mains, rings, valves, timing gears and chain. Painted and re fitted with new Edelbrock performer carb, 8mm leads, new dizzy cap, points, rotor condenser etc. This is the sweetest running V8, no leaks, no oil or water used and pulls like a train.<br />
New battery and starter motor, Dynamo overhauled , new UK spec headlamps, new horns, new screen washer system and wipers. New locks and ignition switch, new shocks, new stainless silencers (sounds awesome). New idler arm, new drive belts, 4 new B F Goodrich tyres on fairly re ent American Racing wheels, new brake shoes and cylinders etc etc.<br />
The car is utterly reliable, starts easily, never overheats and drives beautifully..<br />
Obviously the MOT was an easy first time pass with no advisories.<br />
This is a very well sorted and mechanically good car, the bodywork is very good, it"s got a nice original interior.<br />
I will sell the car for cash or would consider a deal with a 50"s car, Amercan or English, cash either way.<br />
