1965 Ford Galaxie 500 LTD Hardtop 289 V8 with 3-speed Cruise-O-Matic automatic transmission.Factory Power Steering,original steel wheels and wheel covers fitted with new white band tyres.<br />

Great looking Galaxie still with its its original 289 V8 C code engine and transmission and still sporting its original carburetor,air cleaner,front and rear seat belts and radio. First imported into the UK late 2015 after spending most of its life in the States of Oklahoma and Texas - complete with period road maps still in the glove box-and would explain its remarkable state of preservation and super clean floors and chassis.The speedo is a little erratic,as they often are,and will need removal and repair at some point-it is after all 56 years old!<br />

Fully repainted in original Ford Sunlit Gold metallic paint. Virtually all of the interior has been renewed including seat covers,dash top,headlining and carpets. A photo record showing all stages of the strip down and repaint are available to form the basis of a new UK history file.<br />

Re-commissioning works carried out have included:<br />
Braking system overhauled and new custom side exhaust fitted,carburetor kit fitted and tuned,new oil and filter,new timing gears and new exhaust and rocker gaskets.Transmission service with new gaskets,fluids and filter.<br />

Will come with a new MOT and being an Historic Vehicle road tax is of course free.<br />

This mid 1960"s Galaxie is an impressive sight on the road and powers smoothly through the column change transmission and has has a surprising turn of speed for such a big car.Now UK registered and fitted with new black plates.<br />
