Tis the season for large outdoor motoring extravaganzas. The Goodwood Festival of Speed is just a few weeks away, and last weekend saw the Coventry Motofest return to, erm, Coventry for its third running. It"s a big thing in 2015 more than 1,000 cars and 100,000 spectators showed up to, in the words of the programme, "celebrate the city"s automotive and engineering pedigree". As well as static displays, Motofest turns the City"s ring-road into a giant street-circuits of sorts, along which myriad classics are run over the weekend.Highlights of this year"s shindig include an Aston Martin Vulcan and an experimental gas-turbine powered Rover-BRM race car that twice competed at Le Mans. See them both in this gallery of images from the event.
