Lewis Hamilton cruised into the lead of the drivers" championship following his emphatic win at last weekend"s French Grand Prix the first time in ten years a race has been held in France. Indeed, it was Hamilton"s first win in France, too.He qualified on pole, beating Valtteri Bottas by a whisker: just 0.118secs separated the Mercedes teammates. Sebastian Vettel put his Ferrari third on the grid. But it was Vettel who"d run into problems a collision on the first corner of lap 1 with Bottas meant he was in no position to push his title challenger. While Vettel made an impressive run through the race to pick up vital points and places, Hamilton was never troubled at the head of the pack, leading the entire race.Verstappen (who qualified fourth) capitalised on the collision, finishing the race second, while Kimi Raikkonen"s pass on Daniel Ricciardo towards the tail-end of the race Ricciardo suffering after front wing issues meant Ferrari took the last step of the podium.Have a scroll through the pics below, and let us know a) what you thought of the French GP"s return, and b) who your money"s on for the titlePhotography: Sergey Savrasov / Spacesuit Media
