I sourced this cab whilst working in the states last year. It was sitting on(but not fixed to) a later chassis, with no engine and box. Rather than have the extra expense of shipping the chassis over as well, I had the cab and metalwork palleted up and shipped over.
ALL UK IMPORT DUTIES AND TAXES ARE PAID

This sheet metal is in great shape, no major rust or body damage
Dash gauges are complete and glass is not broken
Missing glove box door and other dash pieces as shown
Bonnet hinges are missing
Solid floors
Deluxe chrome grill
Great patina or ready for custom paint with a little work
Windows are mostly broken, but it"s all flat glass and cheap to get cut

My plan was to sit it on a european truck chassis (Sprinter, Iveco, Transit, Boxer, Movano etc) with a diesel engine, modern suspension and brakes and convert it into a refrigerated truck.
However if you wanted to go down the yank route, you could use an RV chassis. Our other 1950 cab sits on a Chevy G30 motorhome chassis.
There is plenty of info on chassis conversions online as many people upgrade from the 60+ year old original, plus you probably want to be able to keep up with and brake as quickly as other modern vehicles!

As for uses, the possibilities are many and varied.
Many parts like seals/rubber and brightwork are shared with the Chevy/GMC Advanced Design trucks (1947-54) and are readily available.
Having recently sourced all the parts to finish our own "50 GMC COE, I can help the buyer with a complete list of every seal, bit of trim and glass needed, along with the best quality supplier and prices.
There are currently only a handful of these cabs in the UK so you are guaranteed to stand out at any show or event. Imagine turning up to a show with this as your hauler with your rod, rat or muscle car on the back!

Over the last few years, the prices of these trucks has been steadily rising, with no signs of stopping. Full custom cabover trucks sell for BIG BUCKS stateside here"s one currently listed on US eBay for $100,000!
