BMW celebrates its 100th anniversary this year. And it"s doing so with four of its most outrageous concept cars yet, all of them previewing the future of the automobile. Well, the future according to BMW, anyway.You see, all of BMW"s brands - that"s BMW, Rolls-Royce and Mini - have envisioned the way humans will drive and interact with cars in the future. And by drive, we mean not actually drive, because the BMW and Rolls concepts feature self-driving tech. We"re talking electric, autopilot wonders of carbon and glass that would feel more at home in Tron movie.The 100th anniversary party kicked off way back in January, with the reveal of the delectable i8 Spyder, a car that BMW told TG it needed to build asap. We couldn"t agree more.Then came the Big One: the Vision Next 100. It"s BMW"s idea of future sports saloon of the future. Though one that would shape-shift and be able to drive itself where appropriate.Rolls-Royce and Mini waded in most recently; Mini with that experimental little tyke that previews a future where all Minis would become your very own one (more on that later), while Rolls decided to adhere to literally none of the concept car norms by unleashing the bonkers 103EX. You have to admit, it"s pretty spectacular.So, contained within this gallery is how BMW imagines the future. Don your finest colander hat, and step forth into a brave new world
