Well, there"s an automotive lunar eclipse: a pair of ebony and ivory Veneno roadsters have come together to make the best shop window display in history.Even though the chances of seeing two Veneno roadsters in harmony is higher than two normal" Venenos (nine roadsters were built, as opposed to three coupes), it"s still an incredibly rare sight and one that should be witnessed in person. To remind you then, the limited edition open-topped supercar was Lamborghini"s 50th birthday present to itself, one that encapsulates all the madness that Lamborghini is known for in one slatty slice of excellence. Veneno" was the name of a famous bull that gored a matador to death back in 1914, and this sharp-edged carbon fibre roadster is probably as good a homage to that as you"ll find.Being a permanent roadster (there"s literally no roof option whatsoever) owners have the pleasure of listening to that 740bhp 6.5-litre V12 engine nestled right behind their head.It"s hooked up to the same sequential manual gearbox and permanent all-wheel-drive from the Aventador, but also shares the pushrod suspension and horizontal spring/damper units. That adds to a 0-62mph time of 2.9 seconds and a top speed of 220mph. All of which is impossible to achieve while stationary in a dealership.Now, the big question: how much is that Lambo in the window?
