Every anniversary comes with its own dedicated gift. After one year of marriage it"s paper (nice and cheap). After 15 years it"s crystal (less cheap). Curiously, the 16th anniversary is tea or coffee". As if a marriage would last 16 years without sharing tea rounds Anyway, after 50 years it"s gold, something Honda"s taken very seriously to celebrate five decades of selling cars (and bikes, and power tools) in Australia. Thus it"s applied a gold wrap to a Civic Type R and NSX, as well as some two-wheeled cars, a lawnmower and a power generator, to mark the occasion. Honda"s adamant it won"t offer gold to customers, citing these as promotional objects. We"re rather okay with that, but are you? Would you quite like your shouty hot hatch even shoutier, or your green hybrid supercar painted gold? And hey, just imagine what Honda and Australia"s 60th anniversary (diamond) will look likeShare this page: FacebookTwitterGoogle+WhatsAppMailtoCopy link
