While General Motors has tried to put the "Chevy" moniker to rest in the past few years, back in 1977, the company was so happy with the name that they literally chanted it in commercials. This week"s Throwback video features one such commercial, which reintroduced the Camaro Z28 package for the 1978 model year.Prior to returning during the 1977 calendar year, the Camaro Z28 had been gone from the lineup for a couple of years. When it returned, GM wanted to make sure that everyone knew so they created this colorful, classic commercial.This short video touches on some of the benefits of the 1978 Camaro Z28 package, such as the 350 V8, the heavy turn manual transmission and the performance axle ratio.
