Sounds like a plan dan get the disk cutter ready honey lol

No need, STS (squires turbo systems) make a rear mount for the 4th gen f-body. All piping and plumbing included and just replaces the rear silencer.
Although they take slightly longer to spool because of the length of the piping on the hot side they apparently work really well.
And no fabrication required!

Yes I've seen a few videos of the STS. I know the ones. they certainly seems quick and easy to pop on. Although having an exhaust on one side and an air filter on the other side looks a bit odd. I've been toying with the idea of twin turbo or supercharged for some time. Lacking two things at the mo, time and money. One day the day will come :) I think I need to take some exams in I.T and earn some big money.

IT Quals are a good idea, but MCSE/MSCA or whatever the latest version is called are 10 a penny.
My personal feeling is to specialise in somethings less common but that might mean not doing something you currently enjoy.

With regards to the forced induction. Its always expensive.
You can bolt on a supercharger or turbo kit on to your stock bottom end and it will live a while but inevitably you know its a ticking time bomb as you are always using the power adder.
You can build a bottom end and then add FI but your initial costs are higher.
Personally I would bolt on a nitrous kit. Its not as if your short of horsepower anyway, and you would find the bottom end would live a lot longer under nitrous as its not seeing the added power all the time. Not to mention a decent dry kit with a window switch would be substantially cheaper then either FI method. The only downside is that you have to refill the bottles. You could make it nice and stealthy with the bottle hidden in the spare wheel compartment with a remote electric bottle opener and hide the purge in the tailpipes. I've seen some really nice switch plates designed to fit inside the ashtray so even the controls are hidden away!
I think the LS1 wold easy live behind a 150 kit and that would take you over the 500hp mark quite easily - but only when you want it to!

My 2c !!!

Yeah I don't think the bottom end will take much more. 174k miles, standard bottom end, only changed the oil pump and timing chain, thats as near to the bottom end I've been.
I do have a direct port nitrous kit in the garage with jets up to 300 shot. If I did put it on the car it would just be for show. My aim is to go for a forged LS1 or LS2 383ci ready for FI, that would be my dream, but soo many other things come first at the mo.
Earning more reddies would come in handy, so perhaps some courses would be good, or even certificates in what I know. I do FPGA design work programming in VHDL, the only person to do this within the company, but I have no certificates for it. I also design circuit boards and track them out. Also firmware programming on Atmel processors. So basically I can create control circuits like for LED display boards, and many other things. I enjoy it. Also looking after all the I.T. requirements at work. The only I.T certificates I have is Server 2000 and a BTEC national diploma i I.T.

Yeah lots of kits out there but the effect on an un-built bottom end is the same. Having said that, the LSx is a 6 bolt mains so is better placed than many.
I put lots of thought into one of these for my LT1 but decided that unless your budget includes building the bottom end to take it your on borrowed time.
The centri's are nice but they don't have the whine like a roots type blower - great for stealth but that supercharger whine would be a must have for me!
