This week"s Kill Story was originally shared to the forum in a thread by “03_Z06” and it features his 2008 Corvette in some hot highway racing action. In this video from the YouTube channel of Eddie Spade, this twin-turbocharged Vette goes head-to-head with several very fast cars and holds its own in every race. The CompetitorsThere are four high performance machines featured in this race the OP"s twin-turbo C6 Corvette, a C6 Corvette Z06, a Ford Mustang GT and a 5th generation Dodge Viper. The details on the competition is sketchy, but we know that the C6 Z06 has heads and a cam, the Mustang is supercharged and the Viper has nitrous. As for the OP"s C6 Corvette, it is fitted with a pair of 5871 turbos from Under Pressure Performance, an upgraded camshaft, worked cylinder heads and an E85 tune. Also, we know that on the first run, the Corvette is running on 6-7 pounds of boost and the pressure is a bit lower on the run against the Mustang. When running the Viper, the C6 is running at 13-14 pounds of boost. The Racing ActionOn the first run, the naturally-aspirated C6 Z06 jumps out to an early lead, but the boost Corvette slowly reels him in on the top end. The LS7 had the obviously early advantage, but the boosted LS3 pulled harder up top.On the second run, the Mustang does a great job of staying alongside the boosted C6 early in the run, but as speeds increase, the Corvette walks away for the win.On the final run, the bottled Viper is hardly a challenge for the boosted C6. From the start of the race, the Chevy sports car pulled ahead, with the V10-powered Dodge catching up when the driver of the Vette lifted.Crank up your speakers and enjoy!Join the LS1tech forums today!Tags: c6 corvette, Kill Stories, LS3, LS7, Z06
