This Kill Story was posted on the forum by Fast02Z06 and the videos come from the Mario Avila YouTube account, featuring a pair of Camaro SS coupes going head-to-head on the highway. The details are short, but the 2017 Chevrolet Camaro SS (serving as the camera car) is stock with a manual transmission and the 2014 Camaro SS is tuned, running on E85. We do not know for sure which transmission is in the 5th gen car, but it appears to get through the gears like a manual. In stock form, the 2017 SS packs 455 horsepower while the stock 2014 SS offers 426 horsepower, but the LS3 car isn"t stock. The E85 tune likely doesn"t make a massive difference, but it should just about close the gap with the newer LT1-powered car. At the same time, the 2017 Camaro SS is a bit lighter, so it isn"t clear which Chevy muscle car will get the win in these races.ALSO SEE: LS1Tech Talks 4th Gen vs. 6th Gen Camaro<br />In the first video (above), the two Camaros go on the third honk and early on, the race is very even. However, as the newer muscle car gets through the gears, it begins to slowly inch away from the tuned fifth gen. The OP points out that he let off around 140, allowing the older car to catch up, but then he climbs back into the throttle to run alongside the older car.On the second run (below), the 2014 SS gets out to a small early lead, but as was the case in the first run, the 2017 Camaro SS pulls even and begins to walk away at higher speeds.Crank up your speakers and enjoy!
