Well my old yellow Koni shocks are getting old, signs of rush, will be nice to stick a new set in there. As they are made in Holland, there is little point going to the US if i know the part numbers.

Never brought from Demon tweaks before, but it appears they have them in stock.
Fronts:- Koni Adjustable Front Sport Shock Absorbers | Demon Tweek

Rears:- Koni Adjustable Rear Sport Shock Absorbers | Demon Tweek

Sold individually, Almost £900 for a complete set. I need to get them, as my current ones show signs of rust, which got picked on as an advisory on the MOT. They have been on there for well over 10 years now.

summit list them but with shipping works about the same price or try rockauto and use discount code

do they have to be Koni ? as car isn't standard anymore, ??

I plan on purchasing them over the xmas period. I know I need more bits.
Dave I know you mentioned about the Watts links, so I'll try to find the thread and do more reading.Get a plan together on what to get and where from. I may need your expertise to set up once installed.

The watts link will transform the handling. The panhard bar setup changes the alignment as the suspension compressed and releases.
But................

There is now an IRS conversion for 4th gen’s. I’ll dig up the details but suspect it will be pricey. I do believe it’s bolt-in though.

Found a video on the 4th gen IRS, don't know if it the same thing.

Wow the rear end looks awesome.

Under $6K for the rear end. Should handle well.

EDIT: that not including the diff, that's an extra $1500

EDIT EDIT: Total of $8,746.00, probably more than what the car is worth, but I@m not planning on selling it, so perhaps a worthy project when the car is garaged and only driven in the dry.

That’s the one. I suspect the watts link would be sufficient for the street though.
With the mods I performed my 4th gen had enough to stick with a mk5 VW Golf and was equal to my Corvette C5 Z06.
The Z06 was the first production car to break 10minutes on the ‘ring IIRC so that should help you decide if IRS is worth the extra?

After taking my wheel off yesterday to replace an indicator bulb, I saw my shocks and was shocked. I didn't get a photo, there is quite a bit of rust at the base. Still a cylindrical shape, you can see its wider where the rust has expanded it. Not leaking oil, but its only a matter of time expect. MOT booked for a few weeks, so I'll get these swapped out for new Koni's.

Koni shocks orders, the same that listed in the beginning of this thread.
Ordered from Demon Tweaks, they source this direct from Koni UK, but they have no stock, so having to come from Europe. They expect a 2 weeks delivery, but could be sooner. This means they should arrive on the 23rd of this month, MOT is on the 26th. Gonna be tight. MOT expires on 9th of May, so I may push it back a week, we shall see how it goes.

Just had a text message form Royal Mails saying the parcel will be delivered between 8 and 9am to my work address. I got here about 8:05, so hopefully I haven't missed them.

Demon Tweaks are certainly good with the expected delivery date, they said the 23rd and they are on target.

Looking forward to seeing them, should I make them carry them up the stairs or put direct into the car?. I guess it will come in two boxes, fronts/rears so the boxs will be a more manageable weight.

Can’t Royal Mail fit them for you? And then safely dispose of the old ones and recycle all packaging?
What a shoddy service!

That's a great idea, they have given me a 1 hour time slot, he could do a lot in an hour if I have the car in the air.

All bots have had rust buster penetrating oil sprayed on there a couple of times over the last week. They look like things will come off fine anyway, its just a little added effort to make things easier when i do the job of swapping out all the suspension bits.
Need to do it be Friday afternoon, its car club tonight, seeing mum tomorrow night, so only really have Thursday evening. Rear shocks are probably less than 20mins once car is in the air. Front shocks need a spring compressor so may take a little more effort.
I think I'll get that MOT pushed back a week.
