Simply having its boss whip a (substantial) sheet off the new Discovery clearly wasn"t what Land Rover had in mind when it came to revealing its all-new seven-seat SUV. So, it thought up something a bit more, involved Hence, tonight"s reveal at Packington Hall in Warwickshire, which involved Bear Grylls, Sir Ben Ainslie, Zara Phillips and lots and lots of Lego. Yep, Land Rover has broken the Guinness World Record for the world"s largest Lego structure, by revealing the Discovery alongside a 5,805,846 brick, 13-metre high Lego model of Tower Bridge. The structure, which is twice as high as a two-storey house and can take the weight of a two-and-a-bit tonne Disco (!), took Lego experts five months to build. Laid end to end, the bricks used would stretch from London to Paris. It opens and everything
