The Lexus RC-F is a two-door coupe to rival the upcoming BMW M4 Coupe. But, unlike the BMW M4 Coupe, it doesn't have a straight-six engine. It has a 5.0-litre V8 monster. This is Good.
Having clearly misplaced the Important Memo From The World on downsizing sportscar engines and so forth, Lexus duly decided that a stonking great V8 packing over 450bhp would be correct for the new RC-F. It also decided to fit a digital dashboard, just like the old LF-A hypercar. This is Better. At this year's Detroit Motor Show, the company released a quick teaser of both the noise of that engine, and the look of that dash.
You can view it in the video at the top of this story. It sounds fruity. The dash looks pointy. And with 450bhp - even more than the BMW M4 - we're promised something fighty. Your move, BMW.
