3rd gen Camaro seller claims it has only 25k original miles, but is that enough to make the sale?
The 3rd gen Camaro is by no means a highly sought-after collector’s item. But lately, we’ve seen a growing interest in everybody’s favorite high school ride. And we can’t blame them. After all, these things make fantastic, cheap LS swap candidates. Thus, more and more clean, low-mile examples keep popping up for sale all over the interwebs. Like this gorgeous 1991 Camaro Z/28 we spotted on Craigslist, which purports to have only 25k original miles. At first glance, it’s easy to believe that claim. But look a little closer, and you’ll begin to get somewhat skeptical. For starters, there’s a large dent on the front fender. Then there’s the interior, which apparently has been treated to a custom leather job. It’s somewhat hard to tell the exact condition of the insides via the photos provided. But at the very least, it’s going to need a good scrubbing. The biggest dent in this low-mile Camaro, however, lies under the hood. Where you’ll find a TPI 350 V8, but also a whole heck of a lot of dirt. A certain amount of dust can be expected in a car stored for many years, of course. But this looks like the engine bay of a car with many more than 25k miles. Maybe more like 125k.But still, this Camaro is a very nice example of the breed. Repair that front fender, clean it up, and you’ve got a pretty sweet ride on your hands. And maybe a misinformed mileage claim could be a blessing in disguise, too. Because then you wouldn’t feel guilty about stuffing an LS in it! #gallery-2 { margin: auto; } #gallery-2 .gallery-item { float: left; margin-top: 10px; text-align: center; width: 25%; } #gallery-2 img { border: 2px solid #cfcfcf; } #gallery-2 .gallery-caption { margin-left: 0; } /* see gallery_shortcode() in wp-includes/media.php */
