Regular followers of the Hoonigans channel will know that occasionally they have some guests over to do some sideways driving around their narrow plot of land. That’s exactly what Mikey Lovas did with his LS swapped Nissan 240SX, but not just for fun. He did so for a bit of cash, some swag and an XBOX, too. Of course, hanging out with the guys at Hoonigan is just a bonus.Lovas’ 240SX is a lot like many other 240’s that are out there. His has an LS2 which was actually plucked out of another drift car who’d upgraded the cam, pistons, and manifold. Power output is claimed to be at about 500. Which is a great upgrade for a 240, but we’d like to see some GM cars out there playing this game as well. Either way, with LS power, there’s “no excuses” for a poor performance from Lovas in the obstacle course. The obstacle course consists of a loading dock with a ramp and a small tarmac area below. Pylons mark certain areas to hit and a clean run earns prizes. The first practice run was quite clean, but shows how tight the course is. There’s no room for error, especially on the ramp. ALSO SEE: Driving the Camaro SS Hybrid of the Future Staging up for the second run was when things started going wrong. Lovas carried too much speed toward the ramp, and then that’s when the impact with the wall happened. And by wall, we mean building. Tough the car was essentially fine, the main casualties were a rim and a bent tie rod.Not to be deterred, Lovas still decided that if he could get wheeled down the ramp, he could still put on a show for the guys at Hoonigan by executing a nice loud smokey burnout. It worked, and they awarded him the XBOX for a valiant effort.Join the LS1tech forums today!Tags: 240sx., drift, LS(, Swap
