Oh. God. That"s all we can say about the Devel Sixteen"s engine but it looks rather familiar. It"s sixteen cylinders and four turbos, but they claim they won"t be using another manufacturer"s engine. Initially, it looks like it sure looks like it still took some key points from the LS-engine design, though. Listen to this thing in action.
While it"s not quite 5000-horsepower, 4515-horsepower at 6900-RPM isn"t anything to sneeze at either. Especially when you consider it makes 3519-lb/ft of torque at 36psi of 81mm quad turbo boost.
Here is a video with Steve Morris of Steve Morris Engines walking you through the Devel Sixteen Engine. Where he explains that the intake manifold, head design, and turbochargers are all designed exclusively for the Devel. #gallery-2 { margin: auto; } #gallery-2 .gallery-item { float: left; margin-top: 10px; text-align: center; width: 33%; } #gallery-2 img { border: 2px solid #cfcfcf; } #gallery-2 .gallery-caption { margin-left: 0; } /* see gallery_shortcode() in wp-includes/media.php */

Wow that thing looks awesome.

With the placement of those turbos and the length of it (2x LSx engines) you would struggle to find a road legal application for it though.
Maybe someone will shoehorn it into a 30's Bentley - now that would be a fun ride!
